Based on Foucalt’s “History of Sexuality”, there are more than 2 sexes as opposed the genders. Simply because the definition of gender is one that is socialized or “scripted” while that of sex is physical (Gangnon and Simon). There are people who are transexuals and intersexuals who don’t necessarily fit into the spectrum of female or male, not to say female and male don’t exist but there exist more than that.
